The story of an unlikely journey undertaken by a downed Israeli fighter pilot and a twelve-year-old Palestinian refugee, Eran Riklis’ latest is a sweet, shrewdly politicized spin on the buddy movie, a sort of Middle Eastern Defiant Ones in which human connection and interdependency trumps ideological dictates.
