Ana Endara Mislov
Ana Endara Mislov was born in Panamá. She is a graduate of Cuba’s Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television de San Antonio de Los Baños and studied social studies and anthropology at Florida State University. Her films include Curundú (2007), which screened at last year’s Festival, and Reinas (2012).

An integral part of Panamanian folklore, our queens symbolize the festive aspect of our national spirit. But they also promote a very particular, potentially troubling idea of womanhood.
