Tinatin Gurchiani was born in Georgia then went on studied film at University of Film and Television Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg, Germany. The Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear (2013), which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, is her feature debut.

Synopsis: 

An ex-military officer visits friends and family, asking them to not abandon his incarcerated brother; a 13-year-old tends to cows, corn and his injured father; a young puppeteer confronts the mother who abandoned her. Numerous real-life stories blend into a seamless panorama of contemporary Georgia in Tinatin Gurchiani’s fascinating, poetic, arrestingly intimate feature debut.
